Pardon the dust...

Lucky you.  You've happened across the very first blog entry for the new company:  Blue Parabola, LLC.

While calling it a "new company" is technically/legally correct, it downplays who we are and what we've done before.  So let me tell you a bit about how this came about.

In ancient times when PHP was still a toddler, Marco Tabini and Arbi Arzoumani found a lack of documentation and information on its power and simplicity.  Together they formed Marco Tabini & Associates, Inc and began publishing php|Architect.  Fast forward a few years and they've moved into publishing, conference organizing, book publishing, training, and a variety of other aspects.  All the while steadily building one of the top brands in and supporters of the PHP Community.

A few years after Marco and Arbi began their effort, I (D. Keith Casey, Jr.) grew bored with Java development and saw the coming dead end in classic asp development.  Without any real goals or focus, I happened upon PHP and started poking around.  I didn't know anything about the language but learned by hacking at various existing applications.  Fast forward a few years and I've built a small company focusing on PHP development and active in the PHP Community in the form of ZendCon's Unconference, DCPHP Conference, and a handful of other events.

So what does this have to do with anything?

Combine the two efforts and now you have an organization with a rich project portfolio, connections to some of the best and brightest developers out there, solid reputations, and a market begging for solutions...
